My New Place!

I officially have a new address. I  move to Tyler, Texas on June 29th.

I was able to find a rental in the Azalea District in Tyler.  It's a little North of where I originally wanted to be, but it's a really nice neighborhood.  It's an older area of town with a  lot of historic charm.  I did a little online research and asking around to find that even though it's an older neighborhood, it's safe and a great area to live in.

It's a one bedroom, plus a bonus room, one bath 4 plex.  Like all the rentals (apartments, Duplexes etc.) that I saw, this one has it's ups and downs.

The Negatives:
It's location with extend my drive to work by about 5 minutes each way
No Covered Parking - but it's at least, off street and shady.
No pets - This  one was almost a deal breaker, but the more I thought about it, I realized that this move was probably going to be pretty hard on Zoe.  I know I'll be working longer hours, in the beginning and I will want to be free to  spend some weekends away.  She has also gotten very nervous in the past couple of years. She has to be medicated while traveling or during a rain storm.  After talking to The Rents, we all decided that she would be better off staying with them for a while, until I buy a house and have more room.  I'm going to miss her, but I know she'll be better off and it's not forever, just a year or so. The Rents are awesome for agreeing to keep her. I know Ozzy (their dog) will be thrilled.

The Positives:
It has and extra bedroom (or Bonus Room)
The price is right
It's in a really good neighborhood
It has off street parking
Washer Dryer connections
It's charming

When looking at the front, I'm the downstairs, left.

Now I need to get packing - ugh:(

It looks really cute! I grew up in Tyler and still miss its beauty! My mother had a man-sized gardenia bush in our front flower bed and the scent was amazing! I miss the trees too! I wish you well on this exciting life change. I just feel it will be awesome for you! God bless you Betsy.
