I am sorry it has taken me so long to post. We spent Sunday night in Atlanta. Monday morning we toured The World of Coca Cola. It was pretty neat. We arrived in Savannah around 5 pm. We ate Pizza at the Mellow Mushroom - Yum. We decided to get the trip off to an exciting start by going on a Savannah Ghost tour from 9:30 to midnight. Nancy, our guide was great. She told us some great stories as was sure to include the historical background as well as some of her own spooky Savannah experiences. She moved to Savannah from New Orleans in 2005. Today we met up with Christa and Cheryl and headed to Tybee Island for some good beach time. We also stopped by the Byrd Cookie Co. We are now getting ready to walk down to River Street and eat Seafood for dinner. Here are some pics from our trip so far. I didn't get too many good ones during the ghost tour, but Amy may have captured some orbs.

Summer Vacation - Low Country Trip with Amy Jane!

The Coca Cola Museum, Atlanta Ga.

Just a few more days until we leave, I can hardly wait. We plan to spend Sunday night near Atlanta Ga. We will visit the Coca Cola Museum on Monday before heading south the Savannah.

Here are a few things a plan to do while in Savannah this summer. I know this is a rather long list and I may not have time to do all of these things, but here's hoping.

Eat at the Lady and Sons
Visit the Savannah Bee Co. and the Honey House
Have afternoon tea at the Gryphon Tea Room
Visit Back in the Day Bakery for the best cupcakes ever
Take a ghost tour
Shop on Broughton Street
Play on the beach on Tybee Island
Stroll through some of the 24 squares and Forsyth Park
Take some great scenic photos
Eat at Soho South Cafe
Visit one of the Historic Cemeteries
Visit the Byrd Cookie Co.
Walk on River Street
Have ice cream at Leopold's

This is the monument in Forsyth Park. When Zoe was a baby, she slipped through the iron gate and ran up the steps to the monument. It freaked me out. That was my first clue that she should only be walked on a leash.

In Charleston I hope to. . . .
Take a ghost tour
See and photograph the famous Rainbow Row
Walk and shop on King Street
Learn more about Charleston's history.
Visit St. Michael's

St. Michael's Now

We may stop in Beaufort on our way to Charleston. It would be nice to take a carriage tour if time allows.
For those of you who want to follow along on our trip, Amy and I will both be blogging as we go. Amy's blog is on my blog list. (Tia's Funny Pages)
We leave this coming Sunday June 7th and return the following Saturday!
